IRS Problems
Here’s a quote from a website on tax problems that I found. The site belongs to Joe Mastriano, a highly experienced CPA with a lifetime of experience in tax problem solving and IRS representation…
Liens for back taxes are freely placed by the Internal Revenue Service. You probably have one already that you didn’t ask for. That’s why you may have received several solicitations that came in the mail. People with tax liens, and other IRS problems are being “ambulance chased” more than people who were in car accidents!
There are a lot of “new kids on the block” in this business who are trying to cash in on the latest “craze” of “representing taxpayers before the IRS”. There’s even a company in Colorado who, for a fee, will give you a loose leaf binder to read, making you an overnight expert. There are groups you can join to make you look like you are part of a big “society” of highly skilled representatives. I have clients who have used large national companies to represent them. They quickly became unhappy because of the lack of personal quality attention and results that was promised! They fell for the BBB ratings, phony claims, misleading comments, and other tactics used by inexperienced, non professionally licensed companies. I’ve even found misleading statements about CPA’s on one state society of enrolled agent’s web page! Many companies will prey on your fear of the IRS and promise you anything, just to get your business.

This has been my life’s work. This is my only business. I fell in love with helping people avoid overpaying their IRS taxes since 1975, when I was just 19 years old. By Now I think I’m pretty knowledgeable. It would be wise to seek the benefits of my many years of experience. I will not hesitate to unravel the mysteries of how the IRS operates. After your questions are answered, you will understand a lot about how the IRS works. You will know why most people have irrational fears of the IRS, stopping them from getting the best resolution to their tax problems.
If you are thinking of hiring any company, Google the name with the word SCAM, FRAUD OR COMPLAINT after it. You will see the complaints filed! Please only hire a company professionally licensed by the state they are in. Otherwise you will have little recourse if you are ripped off.
Good Certified Public Accountants and tax attorneys work for firms licensed in their state. You must verify this with the state board of Accountants or State Bar Association. Or ask if the company is licensed with the state board or bar and ask for the company’s license number. They should be able to give it to you. If not, I’d be very suspicious!
Beware of people bragging about all the board of directors, civic or political groups they are members of. Nothing will take the place of personal ongoing attention by someone who has a lot of knowledge and experience in solving IRS problems.
All you need to know about taxes and the IRS is available freely on Joe Mastriano’s website, and he also has a comment section where he provides quick tips and advice to his users. If you are ever in need of IRS help, call Joe Mastriano’s office and you’ll be in safe hands.
