My Crazy, Cool Grannie
Debt Consolidation November 24th, 2009Next month I see my grandmother. I anticipate meeting her, though she has grown a little stubborn in her old age. I will not embarrass her by sharing her years, but let us just suppose she is a lady with exhaustively seasoned wisdom.
I know her daughter just brought by a litter of baby kittens for entertainment. Of course, her daughter had to tolerate an extended lecture on raising new kittens. I’m positive my nanna would have loved to keep a couple of the kittens, but they’re just too much for her to manage at this stage.
I always find something enigmatic at her home when I see her. Last time, I discovered many books on penny stocks on her cocktail table. My grandmother studying about penny stock trading? That’s bizarre. I wonder what I’ll discover on her cocktail table this month.
This month will make for an active sojourn. I must put in her different Emtek door knobs and air conditioner filters then repair her garden cart. I also need to bring her old pots and pans to charity because she recently purchased a fresh set of pots and pans to supplant them. As a reward, she claims to also have bought one of the best ice cream makers and the very best of all the electic coffee makers. I’m thankful, yet I also must chuckle as she invariably claims to have or utilize only the very best of this or that.
If everything goes well, she’ll employ both to dish me some fabulous java at dawn and ice cream in the afternoon. That sounds like more than reward enough for my assistance. I am happy to assist her for nothing, but a little robust coffee and creamy ice cream does not hurt.
